University of Cebu College of Nursing ranked #7 among the top nursing schools in the Philippines for 2010. The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) released the names of the top nursing schools in 2010 after revealing the 253 low-performing nursing schools for the same year.
“This initiative is part of [the commission’s] commitment to monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing schools nationwide, [and]to ensure the quality of nursing education in the country,” agency Chairman Emmanuel Angeles said in a statement. The commission had earlier named the low-performing nursing schools based on the national passing average of 40.70 percent.
