UC Nursing CESDEV will be conducting a Mass Feeding Program in Sitio Lemonsito, Barangay Umapad, Mandaue City this coming Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 7AM. A school bus which will leave at 6:45 AM will be available in UC Banilad to transport the participants to the fire-ravaged area. Ronaldo O. Quitco is requesting all CESDEV Nursing volunteers who are interested to join the activity to make their intentions known by visiting the office or by sending an SMS for confirmation of participation.Around 573 homes were destroyed in the densely populated area of Umapad, while 15 houses were damaged. The number of fire victims reached 2,279 individuals, 76 of whom rented space in various homes while seven shared homes with another homeowner. There are 656 children among the victims, 324 of whom are aged seven to 12.
