Under this year’s campaign theme ‘Communities uniting to combat climate change’ we’ll be doing just that – joining together as a global community to tackle climate change head on. By joining Clean Up the World you become part of a movement for change that tens of millions of people all around the world are already involved in. All of the activities Clean Up the World participants undertake – be it a local clean up, a revegetation project or a national awareness campaign – make a huge difference to our global environment.
Unity is of great importance when it comes to addressing the causes of climate change. Each of us can - and does - make a difference and together the benefits are even greater.We all need to unite at local and global levels and across all sectors of society if we are to bring about the level of change required and create the kind of world we wish for. I think we all have a responsibility to do this – to protect our planet – and there’s no better time to start than now. I’m looking forward to hearing all about the amazing activities Clean Up the World participants get involved in this year.
