Ivy Jane Cabunilas, UCCN Batch 1998, is the first Filipino victim who was confirmed dead by the NZ police. Cabunilas was among the 11 Filipinos trapped under the rubble of the Canterbury Television (CTV) building, in Christchurch City, New Zealand. The building collapsed after the deadly 6.3-magnitude quake on February 21 this year that killed more than 200 people in Christchurch City.
