IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR CEBU OATHTAKING

Important guidelines to follow:

With the best intention of making the Oath Taking Ceremony of New Nurses solemn and memorable, the Philippine Nurses Association – Cebu Chapter Inc., has come up with the following guidelines and reminders:

Oath Taking Ceremony of New Nurses will be on September 27, 2010 at the Cebu Grand Convention Center. It will start with a Eucharistic Celebration at 7:00 AM for the Morning Session and 1:00 PM for the Afternoon Session.

At exactly 6:30 AM for the Morning Ceremony and 12:30 PM for the Afternoon Ceremony, the inductees together with their parents or guests must be at their respective places inside the Grand Ballroom of Cebu Grand Convention Center.

The inductees for the Oath Taking must be in their proper Gala uniform:

For females: White Gala Uniform with pin placed on the upper left side of the chest, skin-tone stockings, white shoes (no rubber shoes), and nursing cap. Neatly bunned-up hair using black ties or hair pins only (no bangs, and short hair must not touch the collar). No colored nail polish and undergarments. Absolutely no jewelry in any form, except for a wristwatch.

For males: White gala uniform with nurses’ pin placed on the upper left side of the chest, white socks and white shoes (no rubber shoes), short clean-cut hair and must not cover the ears; no mustache, no goatee, no beard. Absolutely no jewelry in any form except for a wristwatch.

Each inductee is allowed a maximum of two (2) Guest Passes only, with a corresponding fee upon registration. Children (12 years old and below) are not allowed inside the Grand Convention Center to ensure order and minimize the noise during the ceremony.

Inductees, parents, or guests who will arrive when the Holy Mass is already going on will be asked to remain at the lobby. They may be granted admission after the mass, provided that there are still seats for them to be accommodated. Since the Ceremony is a solemn occasion, parents and guests are encouraged to wear modest and decent attire.

An official photographer will take pictures during the ceremony. No one will be allowed to go near the stage or to where the candidates are seated to take pictures.
