I am overwhelmed with nostalgic feeling every time I watch this video for this encapsulates the very essence of the Community Extension Services and Development of the College of Nursing of UC Banilad.
"Kaya Natin Ito!" is a charity single written by Ogie Alcasid and was sung by more than 50 Filipino artists, including Lea Salonga, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez, Sharon Cuneta, Jaya and many more.
An adaptation was made by CESDEV-Nursing of Kaya Natin 'To featuring CESDEV-Nursing volunteers doing various community outreach activities. The video which was presented over a year ago, delivers a very inspiring message that encourages everyone to work together to achieve more. It also emphasizes the continuing courage and strength of people to steer ahead despite the set-backs and what seemed to be insurmountable obstacles.
Moreover, the clips and the slides vividly captured the camaraderie, desire, and pure hearts of volunteers who shared their time, effort, and other resources in the name of service without expecting anything in return.
CESDEV-Nursing has significantly contributed to community development as much as it has instilled the value of service and volunteerism to the student nurses, faculty, and the non-teaching personnel.
CESDEV-Nursing will continue to do what it loves to do. With increased vigor and a strong resolve to make positive developments, Kaya Natin 'To!
