Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino gets a more in-depth look courtesy of The History Channel's feature documentary written by award-winning broadcast journalist Ed Lingao and based partly on special reports on the Aquino assassination published in the Philippine Daily Inquirer in 1995 and 2008.
The documentary is a thoughtful combination of research, interviews, visuals, computer-generated images and a vivid reenactment of selected scenes directed by filmmaker Mike Alcazaren.
It features footage and photos from the Aquino family's personal collection and the crowd of Filipinos who waited to welcome Aquino during his homecoming on August 21, 1983. Some of the images shown have never been shown on television...until now!
