The Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry was founded in 1965 by a handful of businessmen with a common goal of advancing the interests of the Mandaue City business community. The Chamber was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 6, 1983 and was accredited as a non-government organization (NGO) on November 23, 2005 by the City Government of Mandaue.
For a number of years, the Chamber’s operations languished until it was reorganized in 1994 where the chamber installed a Secretariat that deals and manages the day-to-day operations of the Chamber. MCCI revived itself into a stronger and more effective Chamber, functioning as a business support organization.
With 50 member companies at the start, the Chamber has expanded its membership to almost 160 companies from different business sectors.
Today, MCCI is lead by a Board of Trustees focused to be the prime mover of growth and development in Mandaue City. MCCI aims to be an organization with a strong influence & relevance to the business community, the local government and the civil society of Mandaue City.
