TREE PLANTING IN AFP CENTRAL COMMAND

LS 97.1, the FM Station of broadcasting network ABS-CBN, celebrated its 11th year with a tree planting activity in the mountains of Apas, Lahug last July 14, 2007. The planting of the trees was done in the Central Command View Park of Camp Lapu-Lapu. (You can click on the pictures for a clearer and larger view).

The student nurses rode on the Yokohama buses provided by ABS-CBN.

Inside the bus, the student nurses can't hide their excitement on the activity.

Their smiles gave a glimpse of the worthwhile undertaking that they will be embarking on.

The trek to the tree planting area gave the student nurses a scenic view from the top.

Every step of the way was enjoyed and the moments were captured.

The student nurses with their seedlings stike a pose with ABS-CBN Central Visayas News Anchor Vilma Andales.

" We greatly appreciate the chance to be part of this tree-planting activity. It made us realize that we, student nurses, do more than just taking care of humanity, we also take care of our environment" - Ms. Karen Kwong, class president, as interviewed and covered by ABS-CBN News Team.

We hope to cover this vast expanse with trees.

More than just pretty faces, these student nurses care for the environment.

Mr. Quitco jokingly poses for the camera as he plants a big pine tree (heheh!)

With the activity successfully done, the student nurses preserved memories of the activity by posing for more pictures.
