UC Nursing CESDEV joined Ayala Center Cebu merchants, employees and shoppers in campaign to raise awareness and avert climate change. The countdown to switch off was initiated at The Terraces to signify the start of the Earth Hour. This was led by no less than Side A, Cebu Holdings Inc. (CHI) management heads and participated by Philippine Retailers Association representatives.
Ayala Center Cebu, a project of CHI, together with the company’s other participating properties Cebu Business Park, Asiatown I.T. Park, Ayala Center Cebu, Ayala Life-FGU Center, Park Towers One and Two, Cebu Holdings Center, Garden Ridge Village and Amara, saved 7,074.50 kilowatts of power, equivalent to 1,961.50 kg. of CO2 during last year’s Earth Hour switch off.
Ayala Center Cebu joined the global community in the observance of Earth Hour. The countdown to the big switch off was started with a concert by the country’s premier band Side A. Joey Generoso, Naldy Gonzales, Ernie Severino, Ned Esguerra and Lee Von Cailao serenaded shoppers and diners at what has become a favorite venue for gatherings and celebration.
