The entry of the new year 2009 was celebrated by watching the delightful midnight fireworks at The Fort, called the “Taguig Global Countdown and Street Party” sponsored by the city government of Taguig and with the participation of business establishments at The Fort. The drizzle didn't dampen this blog admin's spirit as the party continued after the pyrotechnique lighted up the cloudy skies. Add to that the 'star gazing' as numerous celebrities joined the fun. An hour past midnight in Makati City, this blogger watched a free concert, a fireworks show, and a million-peso raffle organized by the city government, Ayala malls, and ABS-CBN Foundation’s Sagip Kapamilya program.
